Single Family Residence, Woodside, CA

A design for the architect's personal residence, to be located on a long, narrow hillside site. The house is conceived as a simple two story wood structure with a passive solar Trombe wall facing south. The long wall provides display space for an extensive art collection and extends to the exterior to shield a linear succulent garden from the driveway. A small loft office is accessed from a spiral stair and overlooks the living area.
